How we handle
your information.

This page says what opwalkga.org collects, why we collect it, and how to reach us. We keep it in plain language.

Who we are

This website is published for Operation Walk Georgia, sponsored by AHKAF. Questions about this policy go to info@opwalkga.org.

What this site is for

You can read about the mission, watch a short video, and make a gift. Volunteers who are invited can sign in to run a fundraising page and upload photos. Donors do not need an account.

This site does not collect patient health information. It is not a medical record and it is not a health-care service.

Gifts

Gifts go through Stripe Checkout. You choose the amount on our site, then finish on Stripe’s page. Stripe collects the card details. We do not store card numbers.

When a gift is completed, we save the donor’s name, email address, and amount. We also save whether the gift was one-time or monthly, any amount added to cover estimated card fees, the currency, and Stripe’s reference numbers. If you gave from a volunteer’s page, we save which page. We use the name, email, and amount to send a receipt and to keep a record of the gift.

A public volunteer page can show the total raised and a count of donors. It does not show donor names or email addresses.

Volunteer accounts

Volunteer accounts are invitation-only. Sign-in is handled by Clerk. You can sign in with your email address or with Google. Donors never sign in.

We store your name, email address, the id Clerk assigns, your page address, team role, story, fundraising goal, and whether the page is public. A new page starts unpublished. If you publish it, visitors can see your name, role, story, goal, progress, and approved photos.

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address, and your profile photo if your Google account provides one. We use only your name and email. We do not ask Google for your contacts, files, or anything beyond sign-in. We do not sell that information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Clerk keeps the sign-in record. Your volunteer page is stored in our database.

Photos

Volunteers can upload photos from their dashboard. The original file is stored privately in Cloudflare R2. The public does not see that original.

We make smaller copies for the website. Those copies have camera data removed, including EXIF and GPS location. A reviewer approves a photo before it is shown. Until then, only the person who uploaded it, and people trusted to review photos, can see it. We also store the short description you write for the photo.

Video

The highlight video is a video file hosted on Cloudflare. Nothing from the video loads until you press play. You do not need an account to watch it.

Email

Receipt and invitation emails are sent through Resend. Today that means a donation receipt after a gift, and an invitation when an admin invites a volunteer. Messages come from Operation Walk Georgia. You can reply to info@opwalkga.org.

Where information lives

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We share it with the providers above only so the site can run. We may also share it if the law requires us to.

Cookies

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. There is no Google Analytics and no advertising pixel on this site.

Clerk sets cookies so volunteer sign-in works. On the live site those are __session (a short-lived sign-in token), __client (a longer-lived cookie Clerk uses to refresh that token), and __client_uat (a marker for when the session last changed). Clerk says these cookies do not hold personal details by default. They keep a signed-in volunteer signed in. They are not used to follow you around the web.

Stripe’s payment page may set its own cookies to complete the gift and reduce fraud. We do not use those cookies for advertising. Playing the highlight video loads the file from Cloudflare. We do not use that visit for advertising.

Vercel and the other providers keep ordinary technical logs, such as an IP address and browser type, to run and protect the service. We do not use those logs to advertise.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have, email info@opwalkga.org and we will delete it.

Asking to see or delete your information

Email info@opwalkga.org to see, correct, or delete personal information we hold. Tell us the email address on the gift or the account so we can find the right record.

We can correct or delete what we store. Card details live with Stripe, and sign-in details live with Clerk, so we may also ask them to update or delete their copy. You can unpublish your volunteer page from your dashboard. That hides it from the public. It does not by itself delete the account.

We keep donation records as long as we need them for receipts, tax, and legal requirements. We keep volunteer accounts and photos until you ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them for the mission.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the new version here.
